“Poster Art. Tomi Ungerer and Advertising” is the title of a new and exciting exhibition of Tomi Ungerer’s advertising work, which spans his career from its beginning right up to the present day.This exhibition opens at the Musee Tomi Ungerer (Tomi Ungerer Museum) is Strasbourg on the 13th of August and will run until the 21 November 2010.This exhibition shows a hundred drawings and posters of his years in New York, including those for The New York Times, to the newest creations for Electricite de Strasbourg and the Montreux Jazz Festival, not to mention those in seventy years for the German advertising. These works, which come exclusively from the museum's collection, illustrate perfectly the motto of Tomi Ungerer in the matter, "Expect the unexpected."
