Alongside his work as an artist and writer - many of Tomi’s books have been made into films.
The most recent addition to this long list of adaptations is the new 13 part animated series of Flix which has just been released on the RTE kids channel in Ireland.
Notably from the documentaries is - Brad Bernstein’s film “‘Far out isn’t far Enough” which has become known for celebrating Ungerer’s work with charming animated sequences and features contributions from supporters and contemporaries. It is packed with compelling interviews with Tomi in his white-haired, chain-smoking, passionate and eloquent self.
